As a business owner with a background in Interior Design and residential remodeling, Laurie Coton developed some of her most important skills needed to become a successful Realtor in today's real estate market. She provides unique and much needed assistance such as staging, which prepares a home for sale by focusing on its positives. Laurie is also experienced and able to offer remodeling advice. As a trained Interior Designer, she has expertise in space planning, furniture placement, and color and finish selections. Having a full understanding of remodeling and repairs, Laurie greatly benefits her clients through her experiences to ready a house for sale and to understand issues that may come up in the purchasing process.

Laurie Coton holds a degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Houston, a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas and has studied Art History and Architecture at the University of Houston. She enjoys interior design and is active with her family. Much of her volunteer efforts are spent at St. John's School where she has been a member of the Parent Guild, heads up the Middle School community service committee, volunteers for Special Olympics and participates in various other efforts. She is a two time volunteer of the year winner from River Oaks Elementary School where she was a multiple term PTO President. She is also an officer of Wellspring Resources, which is a group who is working to build a privately funded library on HISD grounds. Laurie is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, is President of her ASID PEER group, is an active member of Zoo Friends and is a liason and group leader for AFS, the foreign exchange program.
