Born into the business and licensed as a Realtor since 1988, Brad proudly worked in his family-owned real estate business until the recent retirement of his mother, Dawn Shumway. The Shumway legacy will now live on through Heritage Texas Properties.

Brad continues to give back to the local community he loves working with Woodland Heights and other nearby neighborhoods. The Shumways spearheaded many wonderful projects that benefit their neighborhood. Brad and his mother have been central to the effort to re-establish Deed Restrictions for Woodland Heights and other similar neighborhoods threatened by business encroachment and density concerns. Largely, through his family’s efforts, the four-faced clock at the corner of Houston Avenue and White Oak Drive was installed with the Civic Association.
The Shumways are always committed to beautification and reforesting efforts in the local esplanades, parks, around neighborhood schools, as well as active involvement and support for Woodland Heights’ curb-side tree program offered through the Association. Brad and Dawn have a history of reaching out to local and state politicians to facilitate neighborhood needs for progress, change, and protections. They also eagerly promote commercial services development, renewing interests in underappreciated redeveloping areas like the Heights and 1st ward.
Brad has established a stellar reputation for effective superior service to both buyers and sellers. He is well-known for his high energy, hard work, and a willingness to go the extra mile.
