Rodney Fluker was born in Longview, just outside of Marshall, Tx, home of Wiley College and the Great Debaters. Both his parents worked at Wiley and he spent several early years growing up on campus before his family moved to Austin, Tx, and his grandparents moved to Houston. Austin and Houston in the 90s looked VERY different! Watching both cities sprout into what they are today grew an interest in design, architecture and real estate inside his young mind.
In what is now known as the Museum District (77004), he has seen similar changes over the past 10 years. Old apartments and large homes on oversized lots are torn down to be replaced by office buildings and townhomes. Understanding the trends of a market is what energizes his real estate career and they are always changing!
In the second grade, Rodney was placed on the cover of the Austin American Statesman for consecutive wins in an invention competition...he has always been a problem solver and loves coming up with creative solutions. After high school Rodney achieved an MBA and BBA from Texas State University and was a teacher on several levels before becoming a realtor.
Every situation is different, and Rodney loves using his problem solving skills to make sure every client is not only happy now but also setup for the future. Since education has played such a big role to Rodney's family, he is driven to help those that give back to society everyday...teachers, counselors, healthcare workers, ministers, etc, but would love to help anyone looking to improve their situation!
